About this plant
The leaves and fruit of Olea europaea contain oleuropein, a bitter secoiridoid with cardioprotective and antimicrobial properties, and hydroxytyrosol, one of the most potent natural antioxidants known. Cultivated for over 7,000 years across the Mediterranean basin. The olive branch is humanity's oldest symbol of peace. Hippocrates described olive oil as the great healer.
