Global Spice Rack
Set of 6
The global spice rack as a gallery wall, six plants that built the trade routes and the kitchens of the world. Together they carry the warm, layered scent of a Christmas baking afternoon and the long history of the spice trade.
Cinnamon brings the warm, sweet bark that drove colonial wars and still defines winter cooking. Ginger adds the bright, peppery root used from Ayurveda to gingerbread. Cloves and nutmeg carry the heavy aromatics of the Spice Islands, the spices the Dutch traded for Manhattan. Cardamom brings the green pod long called the queen of spices. Black pepper, the historical black gold of Roman trade, completes the rack.
A set of six Koehler botanical posters from the 1887 atlas. Suited to a kitchen wall, particularly a baker's corner, and a warm Christmas gift for the food lover.
