A quieter, more atmospheric dark academia gallery wall, drawn from the lesser known shadows of European botanical history. These four plants belong to folklore, to old herbals and to the long literary tradition of the strange and the symbolic.
Henbane was the sacred plant of Apollo and a fixture of classical and medieval lore. Thorn apple, with its spiked seedpod and trumpet bloom, runs through Victorian glasshouse history. Mistletoe carries the Druidic and Norse legend of the sacred winter plant. White hellebore, with its tall pale spike, was known to Greek physicians and folklore alike.
